Research Data Dictionary

The vocabulary behind NeuronAlgo’s research library, deployable robots, portfolios, portfolio cells, and public proof. A label is only useful when its source and update rule are visible.

SECTION 01

Core terms

Strategy
A research hypothesis and rule set that defines when and how a trading idea may enter, manage, and exit a position. A strategy is a research object; it is not automatically a deployable product.
Robot
A deployable MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor implementation of a documented trading strategy. A robot has an operational setup, specification, and evidence path that can be reviewed independently.
Portfolio
A named composition of robots or strategies evaluated together under a defined allocation and risk model. A portfolio is not a managed account and does not transfer execution control to NeuronAlgo.
Portfolio cell
One portfolio-level risk and allocation unit: several robots sized and evaluated together as one unit. A portfolio cell is an engineering and analysis concept, not another robot count.

SECTION 02

What PROOF-74 means

PROOF-74 is the named public proof ensemble associated with the linked Myfxbook account. The suffix identifies this proof configuration and its 74-strategy ensemble record; it is not the total number of robots or strategies in the NeuronAlgo catalogue.

The live account is a separate evidence layer. Its current metrics come from the NeuronAlgo public endpoint, while the external account page is controlled and updated by Myfxbook.

Why one portfolio has 56 robots and PROOF-74 has 74 strategies

These are different scopes, not two competing versions of the same count. The 56-robot item is a featured catalogue selection produced by the current portfolio-selection logic; it is not an owner-designated flagship until a canonical portfolio ID and constituent manifest are explicitly set. PROOF-74 is a named proof configuration whose 74-strategy ensemble is tied to the linked Myfxbook account. It must not be changed to 56, and 56 must not be changed to 74, without an approved manifest change.

SECTION 03

Live numbers and catalogue numbers

Live numbers describe the current connected account snapshot. They must carry an as-of timestamp and source. They are not catalogue counts.

Catalogue numbers describe published research or product records. They are calculated from the canonical published registry and may change when records are published, archived, or reclassified.

How the current live return is calculated

The public Proof endpoint currently reports a Core-derived telemetry metric, not the Myfxbook Gain field. Its current calculation is: realised closed-trade result (profit + swap + commission) plus current open-position profit, divided by the inferred capital base from the latest equity minus that net result. If that base is unavailable, Core falls back to latest balance minus realised result. This definition is kept visible so the two percentages are never treated as equivalent; final reconciliation must still confirm the initial-capital and cash-flow basis.

An older plan/trial scope figure is not a catalogue total. It must not be presented as a public count until the entitlement scope has been explicitly revalidated.

A page-load check is not the same thing as a historical snapshot. When a number matters for comparison, cite the source, as-of time, definition, and record version.

SECTION 05

Can the Glossary CPT hold these definitions?

Yes. The Glossary CPT is appropriate for individual, searchable entries such as Strategy, Robot, Portfolio, Portfolio Cell, PROOF-74, Balance, Equity, Return, and Drawdown. This page remains the cross-system contract because it explains relationships, count semantics, and update sources in one place.
